Former JAMB Registrar, Dibu Ojerinde, Faces New Fraud Charges.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has filed fresh fraud charges against the former Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Dibu Ojerinde, at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The charges are in addition to the ongoing trial Mr Ojerinde is facing for N5 billion fraud at the same court.
Mr Ojerinde, a professor, is expected to be arraigned alongside four of his children and his firms on the new charges.
The defendants, including Mr Ojerinde, have yet to take their pleas before Federal High Court Judge Inyang Ekwo, who is presiding over the case.
The ICPC alleges that the defendants diverted public funds while Mr Ojerinde served as the registrar for both the National Examinations Council (NECO) and JAMB.
The co-defendants are Mary Funmilola, Olumide Abiodun, Adedayo, and Oluwaseun.
The firms facing charges include Doyin Ogbohi Petroleum Ltd, Cheng Marbles Ltd, Sapati International Schools Ltd, Trillium Learnings Centre Ltd, and Standout Institutes Ltd.
