JAMB Announces New Date for 2023 UTME Mock Exam and Change in Exam Dates.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the rescheduled 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) mock examination.

In a statement released by the Head, Public Affairs and Protocol of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the mock examination will now hold on Tuesday, 18th April 2023.

This is to accommodate some candidates who were unable to sit the examination due to technical hitches during the previous mock examination held on Thursday, 30th March 2023.

Furthermore, JAMB has brought forward the conduct of its 2023 UTME, which was originally scheduled to hold from Saturday, 29th April 2023.

It will now hold from Tuesday, 25th April to Tuesday, 2nd May 2023.

According to JAMB, the adjustment in the date of the UTME is to accommodate some other major and critical national assignments.

The mock examination was designed to test the preparedness of the board and its partners for the UTME and to give prospective candidates the opportunity to have hands-on experience of the CBT test environment.

The results of the candidates who successfully took the mock examination on 30th March 2023, have been released.

JAMB emphasized that it does not have the liberty of shifting forward its examination as other public examinations are billed to commence their exercises in the early part of May, 2023.

Additionally, the board needs to accommodate those institutions with a stable academic calendar to resume as scheduled.

JAMB pledged to continue partnering with relevant agencies of government to ensure that its candidates get the best and solicits the understanding of all as it delivers on its critical mandate.

  3. Some student wrote the JAMB MOCK but no results what can you say about it? Only for them to check and told they didn’t sit for the mock exam. Something has to be done to avoid this kind of story during the main exam. Thanks

  6. The centre my daughter used for her test on the 30th of March compromised JAMB’S time table and the original schedule/arrangement for the test. My daughter was part of the first batch to write the test but she moved to the last batch despite the fact that she arrived at the venue promptly. The centre gave priority to those who came to the centre with their parents to bribe their way through.
Furthermore, my daughter waited from morning till around 5pm to write her test and could not finish it because the server went off several times and they were forced to submit before the time.

  8. The whole process of Jamb is still archaic, What is wrong with Jamb sending notification via phone numbers or emails on every update.

Why collect the details, if they will not be in use. They could send updates via these to keep the students informed and not keep everyone in the dark.

  9. I had issues with my name from nin. And i changed it after registration last year. This year I registered again and I noticed that it didn’t reflect on my jamb profile. I raised alarm and they said they’d click on ” I have made changes to my nin” button so that it would change later. But it still hasn’t changed . Will this affect my admission process later.?.It’s just a letter mix up.
