It should be noted that while UNILAG gives special consideration to candidates from the admission catchment area, it does not exclude students from outside the area.
University Of Lagos (UNILAG) admission process is divided into three categories: merit, catchment areas, and educationally less developed states (ELDS).
The merit category accounts for 45% of the admission, while 35% is reserved for candidates from the catchment area and 20% for those from educationally less developed states.
However, it is important to note that a candidate from another state outside the catchment area who meets the merit cut-off mark for their chosen course will be admitted, regardless of the catchment policy.
On the other hand, if a candidate is from any of the catchment states but fails to meet the catchment cut-off mark, they will not be admitted into the University Of Lagos.
